PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engraving head in which even if resolution of a cell to be engraved is changed, the engraving head is always driven with high torque and also high-speed drive is enabled in the case of engraving the cell of high resolution. SOLUTION: The torsion spring part 3a of a shaft 3 is torsionally vibrated by rotational torque impressed on a rotor 5 by electromagnetic force. Thereby, a stylus 2 and a diamond bite 1 are accordingly reciprocated and vibrated. A shaft-fixing fitment 10 is fitted to the torsion spring part 3a in order to change the effective length thereof. In the case of engraving the cell of high resolution, the effective length of the torsion spring part 3a is shortened and thus resonant frequency is made high. In other words, when the effective length of the torsion spring part 3a is shortened, the resonant frequency (≈engraving frequency) is increased but amplitude by vibration becomes low by its rate. In this case, torque is not lowered and therefore the engraving head is always driven with high efficiency.
