The greenhouse has a floor of reinforced plastic, timber or cement, and side (C,D) and top panels of mesh coated glass. This gives a translucent surface which can be transparent if the refraction indices of the glass and the coating are identical. Ventilation can be provided by vertical tubes of glass or plastic with funnel-shaped lower ends and caps (T) over their projecting upper ends.
