<p>The invention concerns switch assisting devices for reducing losses recorded by a semiconductor used as switch means for chopping a current through a reactive load. Said device enables to eliminate completely said opening losses and, optionally, closing losses. It uses a low voltage current signal (I9b) which is applied on the space separating the charge electrode from said semiconductor common electrode to be added, in phase, to a current signal (I11ab) generated by natural switching. Said addition enables to produce a composite signal which eliminates the presence of loss areas (J', K') recorded in prior art. Said device is universally applicable to power switching: all types of converters, mains supply, electronic transformers, television diverter switches, motor car distributors and the like.</p> |
