The adjustable propeller has a device (30, 30') by which a return force can be exerted on the propeller blades within a setting angle region ending with the boundary setting angle. This force acts against the turning of the propeller blades towards the boundary setting angle, so that the propeller blades set themselves automatically to a setting dependent on the drive torque acting on the hub.
