For complete area-sealing, a plastic mat seal (20) is included. On the side facing the tubing, this has pressure-resistant three-dimensional structural elements, e.g. a studded profile (21) in a sealing construction. The cavity between the mat and tube segments (10) is pressure injection-grouted to complete sealing. An Independent claim is also included for the sealing system used. Preferred features: A preferably recycled-material, thermoplastic mat is built in. It includes stabilizing additives, preferably mineral- and/or glass fiber wastes. Its curvature matches the diameter of the protective shield. This is transported to site in a deformed configuration, to be brought into contact with the protective shield. Adjacent edges are fastened close together by velcro-type or snap fasteners. On the side opposite the studs, a fleece mat is also included. The sealing structure is further detailed, salient features including multilayering of grout to accommodate shrinkage of the setting mortar. The grouting mortar includes a cement binder.
