A solid wall plug-type anchor (10) comprised of a plastic material comprisin g a central hinge (2) with two extension members (1a, 1b) extending therefrom which are moved into nested juxtaposition with one another. The extension members each include wells (5) and nesting elevations (6) and depressions (7 ). Free ends of extension members form a cavity for initial guided insertion of a screw or bolt.
