Drive power control method for double-solenoid impact tool e.g. hammer tool

The drive power control method controls the position of a hammer (10) at which the current is switched from one solenoid coil (L1) to the second solenoid coil (L2), for increasing the drive power of the impact tool. The energizing duration of the first solenoid coil may be used for controlling the position of the hammer at which the switching of the current is effected, under control of an RC phase shifting circuit.
