The set consists of a steering column (10) and a steering wheel (20), where the column has a groove (14) at the end facing the wheel which corresponds to a holder section (28) on the wheel. The holder section can be moved from a free position in which it is not engaged in the groove to a holding position. A blocking section (42) is provided which can hold the holder section in the free position, and a display section (50) indicates the state of the holder section.
