The semi-tubular film (1) is folded longitudinally along a fold edge and has two parallel edges on top of each other when the semi-tubing is closed. A feeder (22) has an entry edge for the semi-tubing coming from a storage roll (2). A shoulder arrangement has a top and bottom group with inlet and outlet end for the semi-tubing and deflecting it by 90 degrees. The distance between the two shoulder groups is altered by an adjustment. Conveyors (24,32) bring the unpacked objects and take away the paced objects. Weld-separators (27,35) weld the tubing round the object and separate a part from the continuous tubing.
