Instrument to puncture skin or tissue, to draw blood or tissue fluid into a carrier, has a pointed puncture pin together with a cutting blade in the area of the point to form a cut as well as a puncture. The blood or fluid is taken up by a carrier which opens up the puncture/cut to assist the outflow. The carrier is contained within a sterile package, before use, and can be easily inserted into and removed from the instrument. |
