The invention relates to a method for the controlled humidification of ambient air or of a supply of ambient air. According to said method, an aqueous shaped body is exposed to the ambient air or supply of ambient air to be humidified. A dimensionally stable composition containing alkaline metal carboxylates of carboxylic acids with approximately 8 to 26 C-atoms, and water is used for said aqueous shaped body. |
