The assembly has a low beam lamp unit with a reflector and a discharge bulb and a fog lamp/high beam unit with a reflector (30) and an incandescent bulb (28) that has double filaments (28a,28b) positioned one in front of the other. The front view of the assembly is trapezoidal with the lamp changing height gradually from one side to the other, with the low beam lamp unit being located where the vertical height is greater. The incandescent bulb in the fog lamp/high beam lamp unit may be a halogen bulb, with the double filaments arranged in series in the direction of the reflectors optical axis (Ax2) and with a shade (28c) provided below the front filament.
