An anchor point is installed in a concrete structure by embedding in the wet concrete of the structure an anchor device (1) comprising an anchor nut (2) having an external surface to which concrete readily adheres and a capping member (3) having a frusto-conical head (10) with an outer surface to which concrete does not readily adhere. The head of the capping member (3) has a smaller diameter end from which projects a threaded shank which is received in the anchor nut (2). A larger diameter end of the head (10) of the capping member (3) is arranged substantially level with the surface of the concrete and the concrete is allowed to set. The capping member (3) is then unscrewed from the anchor nut (2), leaving the anchor nut (2) embedded in the concrete structure and accessible through a flared entrance passage in the concrete left by the removal of the head of the capping member (3).
