<p>A method for recovering a soluble protein at an elevated recovery yield which comprises inhibiting the aggregation of protein in the step of eliminating a denaturing agent from a solubilized liquid containing the solubilized protein; and a method for eliminating the denaturing agent from the solubilized liquid as described above wherein the aggregation of the protein is inhibited. The above recovery method comprises solubilizing an insoluble protein aggregate by using a denaturing agent and then eliminating the denaturing agent from the solubilized liquid to thereby recover the soluble protein, characterized in that the elimination of the denaturing agent is performed in the presence of 60 to 99 % by volume of a polyhydric (dihydric to tetrahydric) alcohol and then the thus treated liquid is diluted with a diluent. The above elimination method comprises eliminating the denaturing agent from the solubilized liquid wherein the insoluble protein aggregate has been solubilized with the denaturing agent, characterized in that the elimination of the denaturing agent is performed in the presence of a polyhydric (dihydric to tetrahydric) alcohol.</p> |
