FLOCCULATION METHOD FOR MAKING A PAPER SHEET

The invention consists in using as retention agent a cross-linked polymer or copolymer formed by polymerisation in invert emulsion from suitable water soluble monomers or mixtures of said monomers. Said method is characterised in that it consists in shearing the cross-linked polymer before introducing or injecting it into the suspension to be flocculated. Said method enables to enhance retention, forming, dewatering and other properties of the resulting paper or cardboard sheet, as a result of the shearing.
