Production of flexible strip useful as wrapping material, abrasive or polishing tape or functional finish

In the production of a flexible strip material of a textile, the surface properties are improved by physical deposition of vapor produced by sputtering a solid under high vacuum conditions on the textile at a surface temperature preferably kept at less than 100 deg C by regulating the sputtering power and the distance between the target and textile. An Independent claim is also included for the flexible strip material produced in this way.
