This invention is a golf ball (5) comprising a liquid filled center with a center core shell (1) having an outer diameter of less than about 1.3 inches having a thickness between about 0.005 inches to 0.5 inches, and having a tensile modulus between about 3 ksi to 10 ksi; an outer layer (3) surrounding the liquid filled center; and a cover (4) surrounding the outer layer. The liquid filled center is formed from thermoplastic shells having a flexural modulus between about 5.5 ksi to 8.5 ksi, a hardness between about 30 Shore D to 40 Shore D, and a specific gravity of greater than 1.5.
