The radial compressor assembly has a coolant medium (25) passed into the dividing gap (18), between the compressor wheel and housing, downstream of the leakage flow (29) of the working medium (27). After a cooling action, it is removed. A feed channel (24) for the coolant gas (25) and at least one coolant gas exhaust channel (26) at the compressor housing (5) pass through the rear wall (16) of the compressor wheel (6) to open into the dividing gap (18).
