A resistive current limiter includes at least one meander- shape strip-form conductor made of superconducting material which is divided over part of its length into two or several part-strips (7a-d). The strip form conductor (1,8) is divided into two or several part-strips (7a-d) specifically within one or several length- sections (6,9). The part-strips (7a-d) are specifically designed so that all the part-strips mainly have the same electrical resistance in the normal conducting state, and all the part- strips have the same length and/or width and/or thickness.
