A continuous transporter has a container (2) for the tobacco supplied, with an inlet and at least one outlet. The container has a vibration-generator (12) producing horizontally circulating movements which are superimposed by the movement of the tobacco along the conveyor track from the inlet to the outlet of the container. The tobacco is moved by a carousel type rotary drive mechanism (11). The vibration-generator has at least one cam (16). The container has a trough (9) elastically mounted on a turntable (13). The tobacco is collected by a fall shaft (22).
