<p>The present invention provides a negative type image recording material capable of processing directly from computer and other digital data, with excellent printing durability at the time of printing and lack of staining. The negative type image recording material comprises (A) a polymer containing the structure represented by the following general formula (I) in the polymer side chain, (B) a compound which cross-links in the presence of acid, and (C) a compound which generates an acid in the presence of light or heat: <CHEM> wherein, Ar1 represents an arylene group having 20 or less carbon atoms which may be substituted; X1 represents NR2, O, S or SiR3R4; X2 represents NR5, O, S or SiR6R7; R1 represents a hydrocarbon group having 20 or less carbon atoms which may be substituted; R2, R3, R4, R5, R6 and R7 may be the same or different, and each represents a hydrogen atom or a hydrocarbon atom having 20 or less carbon atoms which may be substituted; m represents an integer from 0 to 5; and n represents 1 when m is 0, and 0 or 1 when m is from 1 to 5.</p> |
