<p>Perylene-3,4:9,10-tetracarboxylic acid imides of the general formula I, including their optical antipodes and their mixtures, in particular their racemates wherein R1 to R14 are identical or different and are hydrogen or a radical selected from the group consisting of an unsubstituted or substituted carbocyclic aromatic radical, an unsubstituted or substituted heterocyclic aromatic radical, halogen, unsubstituted or substituted C1-C18alkyl, -OR15, -CN, -NR16R17, -COR18, -NR19COR18, -NR15COOR18, -NR15CONR16R17, -NHSO2R18, -SO2R18, -SOR18, -SO2OR18, -CONR16R17-N=NR20, -OCOR18 and -OCONHR18, where pairs of adjacent radicals can form a carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, wherein R18 is C114 C18alkyl, C6-C10aryl, or benzyl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C4alkyl or C1-C4alkoxy, or a 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic radical, R16 and R17 are each independently of the other hydrogen; C1-C18alkyl, C3- to C24cycloalkyl, C6-C10aryl or 5- to 7-membered heteroaryl, each of which is unsubstituted or substituted by cyano groups or hydroxyl groups, or wherein R16 and R17, together with at least one of the other radicals R1 to R14, are a 5- or 6-membered carbocyclic or heterocyclic ring, R15 is hydrogen, C1-C18alkyl, C3- to C24cycloalkyl, C6-C10aryl or 5- to 7-membered heteroaryl, R19 is hydrogen; C1-C18alkyl, C3- to C24cycloalkyl, C1-C4alkylaryl, each of which is unsubstituted or substituted by cyano groups, hydroxyl groups or C1-C4alkoxycarbonyl groups; C6-C10-aryl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C4alkyl groups or by C1-C4alkoxy groups, or a 5- to 7-membered heterocycle, and R20 is the radical of a coupling component, or C6-C10aryl which is unsubstituted or substituted by halogen, C1-C4alkyl groups or by C1-C4alkoxy groups, as well as a process for their preparation and use.</p> |
