The system is provided for connection to the gas heater and to a fan (ventilator) located as extractor means in the corresponding outlet conduit for gases produced during combustion in the actual heater. Said system is powered by electric current and when it is actuated it supplies electrical energy to the motor 19 for actuating the extractor fan 3 so that, in combination with a timer relay 8-9 which governs the actuating coil 13 of an electrovalve and the coil 15 of a second relay, if a different pressure is detected in the gas-discharge pipe the heater will be shut off and an audible and/or visual signal will be triggered, indicating that the unit is operating incorrectly. The system includes the contactor 18 of a pressostat (pressure switch) and the contactor 7 of a water-flow sensor. <IMAGE>
