PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a convenient smart card for helping a customer perform a transaction by providing a means for accessing the final level of a hierarchy by an automatic task on the smart card. SOLUTION: A financial information/transaction system is provided with a smart card interface device and the smart card and a financial institution 10 preserves the records of the accounts of the customers by utilizing a host computer. A private network 22 is accessed by a communication front end 12 through a network service provider 16 and the other network 26 such as the internet or the like can be accessed as well by a standard switch network 14. The system tracks a path passed through when the customer executes the transaction. Then, after the transaction is completed, the path for navigation tracked in such a manner is preserved in the memory of the smart card as an automatic system task. |
