摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make easy formation of a through hole by forming the hole by a punching method in amorphous resin used as a material of a partitioning wall of a jar as well as a material of the jar after heating the wall to a temperature of glass transition point or more. SOLUTION: A jar is formed of polymer alloy synthesized resin mainly composed of polyphenyl ether which is amorphous type and can be fused with heat. A heat plate 2 is brought into contact with a part of a partitioning wall 1 of the jar where a through hole 4 is formed, and the part is heated to a temperature of glass transition point (107 deg.C) or more. Then, a punching jig 3 is set, and the part is punched out by the jig 3 to form a through hole 4. Thereafter, each unit cell is resistance welded and connected in series through the hole 4, then the jar and a cover are connected to each other by thermal fustion to form a sealed lead-acid storage battery. The polymer alloy synthesized resin has such a characteristic that it is hard to swell in comparison with polypropylene.</p>
