PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which does not bother people around with an incoming signaling tone and also improves operability at a dark place. SOLUTION: A touch sensor 1 is attached to a body side of a portable telephone and a detection signal of the sensor is supplied to a CPU 2. The CPU 2 receives a detection signal when a hand, etc., of a person touches the sensor 1 and supplies a drive stop signal to a ringer driving circuit 3 which generates a ringer tone or a vibration driving circuit 4 which drives a vibrator (or both the circuits) if the portable telephone is in the process of receiving. Also, when the portable telephone is in a waiting state, a drive (lighting) signal is supplied to a back light driving circuit 5 of an LCD of a displaying part and a key LED driving circuit 6 of a key operating part. |
