PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium having a reflective metal layer in which chemical and mechanical stability of a the reflective metal layer can be improved even when the information recording medium is left as it is under high temperature and high humidity and the signal characteristics (error rate) can be stabilized for a long term. SOLUTION: The information recording medium reads 10 out a signal by irradiating a signal layer 6 formed with a reflective metal layer 8 with light wherein the reflective metal layer 8 principally comprises aluminum and contains 0.1-1.5 wt.% of Si, 0.1-1.5 wt.% of Mn, or 0.05-0.2 wt.% of Ti. The signal layer 6 has information pits 2 and the reflective metal layer 8 is formed on the surface where the information pits 2 are provided. |
