PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency in maintenance of an electric storage type air conditioner and to obtain an operator's safety by discharging a capacitor provided at a chopper of the conditioner in a short time. SOLUTION: At the time of stopping discharging of a storage battery, first a discharging electromagnetic relay 51 is turned OFF, and switching of a step- down IGBT 61a of a chopper 45 is continued for a predetermined time. Thus, a power stored in a capacitor 64 is discharged in the battery, and a voltage between terminals of the capacitor 64 is lowered to a voltage of the battery 11. Thereafter, a battery electromagnetic relay 60 is turned OFF. The power in the capacitor 64 is consumed by a discharging resistor 65 to complete discharging of the capacitor 64. At the time of stopping charging of the battery 11, first a charging electromagnetic relay 42 is turned OFF, switching of the IGBT 61a is conducted for a predetermined time, and then the relay 60 is turned OFF. |
