PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the device which can be controlled by a communication partner by equipping a control means for video telephone with an executing function, which performs control operation corresponding to the contents of control command information inputted from the partner side via a telephone line according to the control command information. SOLUTION: When a user takes a handset 16 and inputs the telephone number of the communication partner through an operation part 3, a DTMF signal corresponding to it is sent out to the telephone line 11 via a protocol conversion part 7, a selection part 9, and a modem 10. When the control command information is inputted to the modem 10 via the telephone line 11 while the line is engaged with the communication partner, the modem 10 encodes and supplies it to a system controller 4. Consequently, the system controller 4 performs control operation corresponding to the contents of the control command information. Therefore, when a received image is printed on the communication partner side, the resolution of a sent image can be varied on the reception side, which is convenient. |
