PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a data storage device and to improve the work efficiency of a user by storing corresponding data by a storage form based on identification display correspondence information stored in an identification display correspondence information storage means for the data within an area where detected identification display is set. SOLUTION: A CPU 2 stores an application program specified from the various kinds of the application programs corresponding to this data storage device 1 stored in a storage device 8 and the various kinds of instructions or the data inputted from an input device 3 in a work memory inside a RAM 4. The various kinds of processings are executed according to the application program stored in the RAM 4 corresponding to the input instruction and the input data. The processing result is stored in the work memory inside the RAM 4 and displayed at a color image reader 5. Then, the processing result stored in the work memory is preserved in a prescribed preservation destination inside the storage device 8 input-instructed from the input device 3.
