PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption when waiting at a mobile station by shortening a data transmission term during the wait. SOLUTION: At base station equipment 1, the number of unusable channels among reverse traffic channels for data transmission from a mobile station is counted by a short term transmission instructing means 13a and when this number is more than a prescribed number, the execution of short-term access probe transmission is instructed to mobile terminal 2 as the managing object of a present station. At the mobile terminal 2, when the execution of short-term access probe transmission is instructed by a short term transmission means 25a, the term required for transmitting an access probe can be shortened by omitting repetition of a symbol or increasing a transfer rate. |
