PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an misalignment correcting device of an electronic component and method thereof which have the high freedom of operation of the device and by which the bottom of an electronic component cannot be damaged by substantially eliminating the need for sliding operation of the electronic component on a stage. SOLUTION: An misalignment correcting device 21 is provided with a stage 22 and an misalignment correcting hook 23 which moves horizontally on the stage 22. The hook 23 has a rectangular opening 24. The misalignment of an electronic component 3 is corrected by selectively pressing the inner angle parts a-d of the opening 24 on four angle parts of the electronic part 3 transferred on the stage 22.
