摘要 The invention refers to a process for continuous industrial cultivation, in a pyramid-shaped greenhouse, of microscopic green algae, in order to produce biomass, and the cultivation of such algae in basins positioned at different levels along the height of the pyramid. The cultivation medium filled with algae circulates from one basin to another on a gravitational basis, starting from the basin at the highest elevation towards the lower basins and, finally, to the last basin, located at the base of the pyramid, from where the algae are harvested daily. The cultivation of the seaweed is performed in daily stages, consisting of: a) feeding the upper basins with recycled and fresh cultivation medium, depending on the medium losses in the plant; b) gravitational feeding of the lower basins with cultivating medium and algae from the upper basins; c) harvesting the cultivated algae only from the last lower basin, when the basin is overpopulated due to multiplication of the algae. The invention also refers to a plant for carrying out this process, which is made up of four basins for multiplication and one basin for multiplication and harvesting of the algae, located at various elevations along the height of a pyramid-shaped greenhouse. Above the upper multiplication basin there is a recipient in which the primary algae culture is cultivated, and from which the multiplication basins, which are connected to a recipient containing recycled or fresh cultivating medium, are supplied. The level of the cultivating media is maintained with valves fitted with flotation gauges, arranged on the connection pipes mounted between the basins and the recipient.
