PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transfer and edit component data by providing an interface with the library of an application program interface(API) function for transferring or exchanging the component data between a CAD program and a bend model program. SOLUTION: In a sheet metal manufacture equipment 38, a design station 10 is provided with a CAD system. An object oriented bend model system is executed as an application operated on a server module 32 and the design station 10 and the server module 32 communicate with each other through a communication network 26. The API function for transferring and editing data relating to sheet metal components between the CAD program and the bend model program is defined and the library of the API function is executed as a part of the bend model program by a software.
