PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To deal with the occurrence of an error in the adjacent other output device when the error occurs in one output device in the error which can be predicted such as the lack of paper. SOLUTION: When a printer receives a group setting instruction, group setting is executed (S1→S2→S3→S4). When the printer receives printing data, it executes a development processing (S2→S8). When an error ours, device states are inquired to respective printing devices of a group to which the printer belongs (S9→S12). The respective printing devices of an inquiry destination inspect (S13) the device state and informs the printer being an inquiry source (S14). When a state notice is given from all the printing devices being the inquiry destination (S15), the printer displays a result to a host computer (S16) and executes a post-printing processing whose error is released (S17-S10).
