<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device which uses an electron emission element of a surface conductive type with a simple structure and an easy and low cost type manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: This device comprises: an electron source substrate which his formed by disposing a plurality of electron emission elements on a substrate 1 along plural columns and rows, which elements have a pair of element electrodes 2, 3 disposed at an interval and a this film member which is disposed between the electrode pair 2, 3 means of an applied electric field between the electrode pair 2, 3; and a face plate provided with a fluorescent film and a driving means. The device creates a display according to information by irradiation the fluorescent film with electrons emitted from the electron emission elements. The electron emission elements give a droplet of containing constituent constituting the thin film member onto the substrate 1 positioned between the electrode pair 2, 3 and thereby a thin film 4 which is thinner than the element electrode pair 2, 3.</p> |
