PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To put electric vehicle to practical use by fixing a cover to a charging port to be inserted with an external charging plug provided on the radiator grill of an electric vehicle, such that the charging port can be opened or closed freely and fixing a cover open/close detector to the rotary central shaft of the cover. SOLUTION: When a charging port 2 is opened, a cover open detector, e.g. a rotary encoder, coupled with a rotary central shaft 8 detects the rotation of the shaft and delivers a signal to an open cover alarm lamp provided at the meter indicating section of an instrument panel, in order to notify open cover by lighting the open cover alarm lamp. Consequently, forgetting of the closing of a cover 3 can be recognized. When a charging plug is inserted into the charging port 2, a battery can be charged via a charger mounted on a vehicle. When the charging port 2 is made in a radiator grill 11, the battery can be charged easily, without opening the bonnet from the front side of an electric vehicle. |
