PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel a torque by generating a regenerative torque using brake pedal input, while commanding a motor to reduce creep torque of a vehicle. SOLUTION: Input includes a) Vmph-vehicle speed in miles/hour, b) Giq-throt, throttle/torque instruction which is a function of the throttle position and the vehicle speed, and c) G-iq-brake-brake/torque instruction which is a function of brake/pedal position. Output is G-Iq-sum, which is an overall torque instruction based on both torque instructions of the vehicle speed, throttle and brake. Main elements of this method are included in regeneration/creep cancel map. Output from the regeneration/creep cancel map, referred to as 'separation coefficient', is multiplied by a brake/torque instruction G-iq-brake. Its solution G-Iq-iqbrakeg is designated to as the 'brake regenerative component' and used for brake regeneration. |
