PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a processing time and to improve the maintenance and cost effectiveness of an exchange by referring to a number developing table by an exchange to allow a CPU to execute call control with a LAN telephone terminal so as to execute call-incoming connection. SOLUTION: When an extension 11 dials a telephone number to connect it to a LAN telephone terminal on a LAN 15, the CPU 100 of an exchange 10 confirms connection to the LAN terminal by the IP address of a terminal to be called by referring to a number developing table set in a memory 102. A connecting state managing memory is retrieved, and when connection is enabled, a voice converting line is selected to transmit a call-incoming request message to a LAN terminal by adding the IP address of a voice converting circuit 106 for connecting the selected line. When an answer is given within a prescribed time, communication with the extension 11 is established and voice data from the extension 11 is sent to the circuit 106 through a switch 103 to convert to packet data with the IP address of a called LAN terminal to send to a LAN circuit 15.
