RING OSCILLATOR AND PLL CIRCUIT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ring oscillator having a minimum power consumption and a PLL circuit which uses the oscillator. SOLUTION: A capacitor 34 is charged so that electric charges are accumulated by an oscillation part A through an analog switch circuit 30 and discharges electric charges to the oscillation part A through the analog switch circuit 30. Consequently, the potentials at both common low-power-supply terminals 11 and 12 rise from the ground potential. Consequently, an oscillation signal becomes small. The power consumption of the ring oscillator is therefore reduced and the power consumption as the PLL circuit is made small.
