PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode for a battery in which variations of a discharge capacity due to variations of filling are reduced, concerning the electrode composed by filling active material inside a metallic porous body having spaces connected in a three-dimensional structure. SOLUTION: This electrode is so composed that a belt-like metallic porous body 1, having spaces connected in a three-dimensional structure, is run in the longitudinal direction, and that simultaneously a paste discharge nozzle 3 is arranged, facing to one face thereof with a close distance, and also that active material, discharged from the nozzle 3 from the one face toward the other face, is filled, so that the active material will not penetrate into the other face and also at least most part of the one face will not be filled with the active material. The metallic porous body 1 is equipped with a lower-porosity, thin metallic layer composed only of a porous metal 1 on the one face obtained by being pressurized after being filled with the active material. |
