PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the fast recording of optical information by incorporating a liquid crystal charge transfer material into a photoconductive layer of an information recording layer where the information is recorded by applying a voltage between electrodes. SOLUTION: After an electrode 3 comprising a transparent electrode film or the like is formed on a substrate 2 such as glass, a charge producing material is formed in a film by vapor deposition or coating to obtain a charge producing layer 4. Another produced by forming an electrode layer 3a comprising a transparent electrode film or the like on a substrate 2a such as glass or the like and then, forming an information recording layer 8 comprising a liquid crystal- polymer composite material or the like is opposed and stuck to the charge producing layer through a spacer 10 to make it a cell. Then a liquid crystal charge transfer material 5 is injected and formed to produce an information recording element 1. In this method, by sealing the liquid crystal charge transfer material in the cell, the liquid crystal charge transfer material can be used for an information recording element and therefore, deterioration and surface damages due to oxygen or water content in the air can be eliminated. |
