1300444 Moulding or blowing glass VEREINIGTE FARBENGLASWERKE AG 4 March 1970 [7 March 1969] 10378/70 Heading C1M A two-part or multi-part single mould for moulding or blowing glass having means for securing the parts against lateral displacement relatively to one another in the closed position, has additional securing means against axial displacement comprising one or more projecting members on one part co-operating with recesses on another part with substantially no play or clearance in the closed position. As shown, mould parts 7, 8 with cavities 11, 12 are held in mould holders 1, 2 having arms 3, 5 and 6 respectively, connected by a hinge 4, the mould being completed by a fixed mould bottom 13. Mould part 7 comprises parallel ledges 15 and 17 which co-operate with recesses 14, 16 or mould part 8 to prevent lateral displacement. Axial displacement is prevented by projecting elements 22, 24, 26 and 28 or part 8 with bevelled surfaces 30, 34, 32 and 36 respectively which fit against bevelled surfaces 21, 23, 27 and 25 respectively on recesses in the mould part 7. In a modification (not shown) only a single projection (18) and recess (19) are shown (corresponding to projection 22 and surface 21) with the co-operating surfaces (20, 29) perpendicular to the mould parts. These may also be duplicated at the hinge edge and also as a double pair on the lower part of the mould.
