PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a boundary position with high precision by a simple data processing. SOLUTION: An image including an almost uniform background image and an almost uniform objective image is stored in a frame memory, and divided into blocks, and the whole image is obtained in the array of blocks whose positions are successively shifted in a vertical direction for each column in a prescribed column period, and the image data are successively calculated from the first block to a line (vertical) direction and a column (horizontal) direction so that a background reference value and an objective reference value can be calculated. For example, a background block is successively discriminated by using the background reference value and the objective reference value from the first block of a C21 column to a line (vertical) direction for each block, and judgment for the required column period is operated, and one set of boundary blocks equivalent to one column period are discriminated so that the common part can be detected as a boundary position. |
