PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method and the system by which a three-dimensional structure of an object or a scene to be expressed is estimated to be an image close to realize and structured based on a photographed image. SOLUTION: The three-dimensional image processing unit consists of an image input section 21 that photographs an object at a prescribed unit time interval nearly vertically to an optical axis, an epipolar image generating section 22 that slices plural time space images in parallel with a time base to generate an epipolar image, a characteristic point extract section 23 that extracts a characteristic point on the epipolar image, a characteristic point correspondence generating section 24 that obtains a similarity evaluation value at positions of each characteristic point for four consecutive times and obtains combinations corresponding to the characteristic point to minimize the total sum of the evaluation values for each adjacent time, a characteristic straight line calculation section 25 that traces them and to make them linear, and a 3-dimensional structure estimating section 26 that estimates a 3-dimensional image structure based on the straight line groups.
