PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the generation of abnormality by controlling communication with a data communication unit parallelly to an image formation operation regardless of the performance of a CPU in an image formation device. SOLUTION: The respective image formation devices 1-5 (actually internal PPC controllers) respectively judge whether or not they are in a state capable of optional communication with the corresponding data communication units 18 and transmit a 'communication enabled' signal if it is in the state capable of communication and a 'communication disabled' signal when it is not in the state to the respective corresponding data communication units 18. The respective data communication units 18 request an optional processing to the corresponding image formation devices at the time of receiving a 'communication enabled' signal and inhibit the request of a processing other than 'affirmative response' to the corresponding image formation devices at the time of receiving a 'communication disabled' signal. |
