摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optimization method for layout of elements to secure better layout result with the same processing time as a pairwise replacement method when the optimum layout is decided and the layout is improved for the elements. SOLUTION: This method contains A 1st process ST01 to arrange the elements based on a net list, a 2nd process ST02 where the Monte Carlo simulation is carried on until the layout of elements is set in a balanced state at a fixed virtual temperature, a 3rd process ST03 where the Monte Carlo simulation is carried out again to obtain plural layout results, a 4th process ST04 where the layout of elements is improved by a pairwise replacement method with those layout result defined as each initial layout and the cost value is calculated for each improvement result and a 5th process ST05 where the best layout result is selected based on those cost value. Then the pairwise replacement method is applied again to plural layout results which are obtained by the Monte Carlo simulation after a balanced state is secured, and the best improvement result is selected. As a result, the better layout result is obtained with the same processing time as the pairwise replacement method.
