PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine translating device which can perform a highly precise machine translating process by performing syntax generation without deleting a word when the word is necessary for the syntax generation even if there is no corresponding equivalent in a dictionary. SOLUTION: When a flag (t) added to an untranslated word of a 1st language having no corresponding equivalent of a 2nd language is detected (S600: YES), the kind of a part of speech indicating such as whether or not the word is an auxiliary numeral (S610) is decided (S660, S670) and when this untranslated word is necessary for syntax generation judging from the relation between precedent and following character strings connected thereto, the word is not deleted (S650: YES, S630: NO, S630: NO) and if it can be deleted after certain processes, the word is deleted (S690) after being processed (S680, S640). Then a normal syntax generating process (S700) is performed. |
