PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily restore data destroyed in a magnetic storage device without reducing electronic sorting output capability. SOLUTION: A magnetic storage device 4 has a high processing speed area having a processing speed higher than a data processing speed required by a picture output device 3 and a low processing speed area whose processing speed is low. A storage area for electronic sorting and a storage area for additional picture data are set in the high processing speed area. Backup data of additional picture data is stored in the low processing speed area. When additional picture data stored in the high processing speed area is destroyed in such a constitution, backup data stored in the low processing speed area is transferred to a buffer memory 5 through a video data switch device 2, is transferred to a magnetic storage device 4 from the buffer memory 5 through the video data switch device 2 and is stored in the high processing speed area. |
