Reactor for purification of spent pickling liquors, contaminated water and industrial effluents operates by a settling-condensing action based on a dipole action promoted Boltzmann diffusion-distribution principle. - Volume proportional, inherent tank-type hydromechanical process reactors are suitable for single step flocculation recovery of water sol. metallic ions, metals containing 'd' electrons and of non-metallic compounds having positive oxidation numbers, as found in spent pickling liquors (rinses), in contaminated potable waters and industrial effluents. They are also used in regeneration of sulphuric acid based pickling liquors. With certain safety modifications they are employed in flotation, stripping ozonolysis and extraction processes and even for treatment of effluent containing certain rare earth metals and some actimide elements. Reactors are also used for settling out primary circuits of water cooled nuclear reactors and in bypass-flow purification. The salient feature of these units (in an orthokinetic phase) is the settling-condensing action of the reactor based on a dipole action of the reactor based on a dipole action promoted Boltzmann diffusion-distribution principle. A shifting perforated pipe-head (3) reaches into the settling cone of the reactor. A hydraulic beam of rays formed by compressed gases and vapours leaving this head, ensures (in the perikinetic phase) dissipation of energy necessary in above processes. Due to hydrostatic pressure purified liquids and/or emulsions and/or suspensions of low density leave the unit via an intercommunicating tap (5). |
